Terms of Service – CISS Web

Terms of use Updated on 14th June 2024.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of the services offered by CISS Web (“CISS”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) on our website and the services we provide to you (“you” or “your”) for website development and related services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Services – CISS Web

CISS offers a variety of website development services, including but not limited to:

  • Website design and development,
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) system,
  • Content management system (CMS) implementation,
  • E-commerce functionality,
  • Website maintenance and updates,
  • Domain registration and hosting (external providers),
  • And more.

The specific services provided will be outlined in a separate agreement (“Project Agreement – CISS Web”) for each project when needed.

Project/Service(s) Fees and Payment

CISS Web generates invoices for projects/service(s) from CISS GH Corporation billing plans/systems. The Project/service(s) fees are outlined in the invoice. This invoice may also include discounts and service options (required, recommended, optional, or bonus). The project’s agreement will state the initial deposit amount corresponding to the project. This initial deposit amount which is part of the total invoice amount is a commitment to the project’s success.

Services Subscriptions

Subscriptions are recurring payments outlined with their periods and prices in the invoices of every client’s project. These subscriptions include but are not limited to:

  • Domain name subscription.
  • Web server (or host) subscription,
  • Maintenance subscriptions,
  • And other service(s) subscriptions,

Each “Project Agreement” may state the subscriptions involved, their prices, and renewal periods. These will be visible on the project’s invoice.

Web server (Hosting) and Domain Subscription

You cannot build and run a successful online website without a valid website server (host) or domain name. Therefore, CISS has website hosting and domain subscription plans offered by external providers. We currently do not run the web server (Hosting) and domain services directly from CISS company. Thus, these services are bounded by strict terms. The web server (host) and domain:

  • generally renews yearly,
  • should not be canceled until the renewal date,
  • will stop working when not renewed before the renewal date,
  • payment terms are typically net 30 days before the renewal date,
  • late payments may incur a late fee and/or suspension,

Website Maintenance Subscriptions

CISS Web provides automated security and maintenance systems to ensure maximum security preventing cyber-attacks, spam, and other threats. We highly recommend or require these systems. The terms bounding our security and maintenance systems are:

  • highly recommended or required in certain projects,
  • generally renews yearly,
  • can request one-time or subscribe yearly for maximum protection,
  • payment terms are typically net 30 days before the renewal date,
  • late payments may incur a late fee and/or cancelation of service,

Cancellation of Services and Refund Policies

  • You may cancel website development services at any time. But you will be responsible for all work completed up to the point of cancellation and the damages involved. We will not issue any refund upon project cancellation.
  • CISS reserves the right to cancel services due to non-payment or any violation of our terms. We will not issue any refund when this happens.
  • You may request the cancelation of domain and website hosting subscriptions before the renewal date to avoid automatic renewal charges or disturbances on renewals.
  • CISS may refund any invoice overpayment to the last pesewa. A valid payment recipient number or account must be provided for the refund. NOTE: This may not currently apply to some of our international clients.

Intellectual Property Rights

CISS retains ownership of all intellectual property rights developed by us for the project. This includes, logos originally designed for the project by CISS Design Studio. illustrative assets, and others. You will own the content you provide for the website.

Governing Law

These terms are subject to and interpreted per the laws and regulations of Ghana, as “CISS” (Craftech IT Solution Services) is a legally registered entity.

Updates to Terms of Service

We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on our website. We may notify you when this happens. You are responsible for checking these Terms periodically for updates. Your continued use of our services following the posting of our revised terms means that you accept and agree to the changes.

Term and Termination

  • These Terms will remain in effect until terminated by either party.
  • We may terminate these terms at any time for any reason, with or without notice.
  • You may terminate these Terms by ceasing to use our services.
